I've sold a lot of dresses, but I've never seen one like this.
The dress features a fitted suit top and flared skirt, consisting of two layers of fabric: a semi-sheer linen outer layer and a loose-weave, gauzy inner layer. Both are sewn on the bias, so there's lots of "give" in the fabric.
What truly makes this dress unique is the embellishment, which consists of diagonal lines of black bugle beads sewn BETWEEN the two layers of fabric. This gives the fabric a unique texture in look and feel. And because the beads are UNDERNEATH the semi-sheer outer layer, there is just a hint of a sparkle.
The suit top closes with a concealed zipper, and a concealed zipper closes the skirt down the side. The skirt itself sits on top of the hip and flares softly so a fuller hemline.
This is a wonderful couture garment of superior quality -- made in Italy.
